Breaking Badger

Shelly Laurenston is a gem. I also look forward to her new releases and revisit previous ones like old friends.

Breaking Badger is a continuation of the Honey Badger Chronicles that began with Hot and Badgered. It is filled with Laurenston's signature humor, emotion, and ridiculous violence. The romance takes time to build as the characters get to know each other fewer sex scenes than readers of the previous books might expect. I particularly love the variety of characters, and how many of them have mental health issues, and the prominence of found families. This can definitely be read as a stand-alone but the reader would miss out on the rich backstory to really give everything the context it deserves.
